Dubai Municipality to showcase landmark tourism projects at ATM 2025
Dh2 billion Therme Dubai to be highlighted at global travel event
Dubai Municipality is set to showcase its pioneering tourism and leisure projects at the 32nd edition of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2025.
The prestigious event, recognised as one of the world’s leading platforms for the travel and tourism sector, will run from April 28 to May 1 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The Municipality’s participation underlines its commitment to enhancing Dubai’s status as a future-ready, global tourism destination and a vibrant hub for entertainment and innovation.
At ATM 2025, Dubai Municipality will highlight several major projects reflecting its strategic vision, including wellness retreats, nature trails, and historic souq renovations, all geared towards providing exceptional quality of life and memorable visitor experiences.
Therme Dubai project
A key highlight of the Municipality’s exhibit will be the Dh2 billion Therme Dubai, a first-of-its-kind wellness project in the Middle East and the tallest of its category globally. This mega spa and interactive garden development aims to enrich community wellbeing and elevate Dubai’s hospitality offerings. Therme Dubai aligns with the Dubai Quality of Life Strategy, which seeks to position the emirate among the top 10 cities worldwide for quality of life by 2033.
The project promises an immersive wellness experience, blending advanced spa facilities with lush, sustainable gardens, and will serve as a model for future urban wellbeing initiatives.
Expanding outdoor experiences
Dubai Municipality will also present transformative developments focused on public beaches and parks. Ambitious plans are underway to modernise the design and infrastructure of Dubai’s beaches, enhancing their global appeal with integrated tourism options tailored to the diverse interests of residents and visitors alike.

Among the outdoor recreation initiatives is the mountain walking trail at Mushrif National Park, stretching 9.7 kilometres – the first and longest trail of its kind located in the heart of the city. Complementing this, the Mushrif Hub offers a range of integrated leisure services. Meanwhile, adventure seekers can look forward to the Hatta Mountain Bike Trail, spanning an impressive 86 kilometres and featuring 21 cycling lanes and 17 walking trails designed for both amateurs and professionals.

Revitalising heritage areas
In its drive to preserve cultural identity while boosting tourism, Dubai Municipality will spotlight the historic Deira Souq and surrounding traditional markets. Central to this initiative is the Heritage and Tourist Trails Project, which extends over 1,740 metres, aiming to revitalise the area while retaining its historical essence.
Upgrades include the installation of innovative umbrellas, enhanced lighting, multiple seating areas, smart bathrooms, and prayer spaces for women equipped to serve people of determination. Architectural furnishings reflecting the historic character of Deira will further enhance the visitor experience, offering a seamless blend of heritage and modernity.
Bader Anwahi, CEO of the Public Facilities Agency at Dubai Municipality, emphasised the significance of ATM as a platform to present Dubai’s forward-looking tourism vision. “Dubai Municipality’s projects are centred around sustainability, innovation, and enhancing wellbeing, helping the emirate to remain a leading destination to live, visit, and invest,” he said.
He added that the Municipality’s approach focuses on creating smart, flexible, and sustainable spaces that merge Emirati heritage with modern tourism concepts, ensuring the evolving needs of residents and visitors are met while preserving Dubai’s cultural fabric.
